Adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Asperger Syndrome
PLANNING FOR SUCCESS
Imcot helps people with ASD
and AS to increase their self esteem, self confidence and
develop the social and communication skills, factors which often
to contribute to the difficulties that more able autistic adults
experience in trying to find employment.
Imcot enables participants
to develop the skills to plan, make and take decisions in their
lives including the support and guidance to prepare a personal
action plan, as a first step towards employment or voluntary
work.
Some sessions will broaden
the vision and concepts of occupational opportunities and
provide information and employment network opportunities.
Many able people with ASD
and AS have problems with understanding the consequences of
actions and of planning and achieving desired outcomes.
This training programme
provides them with learning constructs in the form of a
“toolkit” to assist them to implement a strategy which will take
them on a pathway to a successful career.
