  • To provide Managers with a model of best practice for appraising staff and an opportunity to become familiar with the company policies and procedures that underpin supervision and PDPA

  • To outline the purpose of PDPA and the key stages of the appraisal process.
  • To identify the links between recruitment and selection, induction, supervision and appraisal.
  • To promote effective communications between managers and staff.
  • To promote self-awareness in communication skills.
  • To define standards and specifying evidence.
