To improve staff communication skills when
working in these very difficult situations
To gain an insight into behavioural
influence on communication and personal interaction in these
situations
To gain an understanding of how to deal
assertively with situations
To help staff to understand their roles,
responsibilities and boundaries in relation to these
situations
OBJECTIVES:
Skills
To identify situations which staff find
most difficult to handle
To explore the different ways in which
participants respond to these difficult situations to find
more effective methods by which to achieve successful outcomes
for those difficult situations
To understand the ways in which non-verbal
communications (including body language) effect the process
and outcome in any situation
To understand how our initial perceptions
can affect the outcome of any given situation
To develop strategies to provide
opportunity for successful outcomes in these difficult
situations
