  • To provide participants with an overview of key indicators of risk of suicide and serious self-harm
  • Overview of mental illness in relation to suicide and serious self-harm including personality disorders and drug and alcohol abuse.
  • To provide research overview of effective ways of working with clients who are at risk of suicide or serious self-harm
  • To provide participants with an opportunity to clarify their roles in relation to their work with clients who are serious risk of suicide
  • To provide an opportunity for participants to develop strategies for improving their practice in this very difficult area of work
