Duration:

  • 2 days

Target group:

  • This course is for managerial and supervisory staff working with responsibility for the introduction, preparation and monitoring of care plans.

Synopsis:

  • This course provides an opportunity for participants to update on community care and the role of visible care plans in the market culture
  • Review assessment skills and implementation of god practice.
  • Care planning as a way to ensuring that the user is viewed as an individual.
  • Care planning as tools in quality assurance.
  • The effective use of agency documentation.
  • The process of planning care programme's and a review of the present practice.
  • Application to practice - learning by doing
  • Introducing care planning practice : systems and procedures.
  • The role of the family carer

Aims and Objectives:

  • To ensure competent practice in the sensitive area of individual care.
  • To examine the importance of care plans for quality care in the community and thus for the organization.
  • To teach the process of care planning
  • To rehearse the appropriate skills and to provide the enabling knowledge for the relevant NVQ units.
  • To link the practice and process of care planning to the organizations agreed documentation of care plans.
