Bereavement awareness
Duration:
One and Two days
Target group:
All staff (NB This workshop may not be appropriate for staff who have had a major loss or bereavement in the past two years)
Synopsis:
The course will include experiential group work where individuals will be asked to look at their own experience of loss and bereavement as well as their clients.
Video and audio tape materials will be used together with case studies.
Aims and objectives:
To examine and discuss various ways people might be helped to come to terms with their grief in different situations.
At the end of the course the group will understand the theory and process of loss and bereavement.
