Aims:

  • To provide an understanding of how and why we experience stress
  • To understand the positive nature of stress as well as the problematic nature of stress
  • To provide a range of skills to manage stress effectively

Objectives:

  • To explore the different ways in which we experience stress
  • To understand what causes us to experience stress
  • To understand the stressors at home, at work and those which come from ourselves
  • To provide an opportunity to formulate strategies for managing stress including managing conflict, changing lifestyle, time management techniques and managing personal change.
  • To understand the importance of taking care of ourselves, including an opportunity to experience some relaxation techniques
