Aims:
- To provide an understanding of how and why we experience stress
- To understand the positive nature of stress as well as the problematic nature of stress
- To provide a range of skills to manage stress effectively
Objectives:
- To explore the different ways in which we experience stress
- To understand what causes us to experience stress
- To understand the stressors at home, at work and those which come from ourselves
- To provide an opportunity to formulate strategies for managing stress including managing conflict, changing lifestyle, time management techniques and managing personal change.
- To understand the importance of taking care of ourselves, including an opportunity to experience some relaxation techniques
